Izhstal’ OAO (Izhstal OJSC) is a Russia-based metallurgical company principally involved in the manufacture of rolled and calibrated bars from constructional, constructional alloyed, tool and high-speed steel grades. It is also engaged in the manufacture of steel, stainless welding wires, high precision shaped profiles, cold-rolled and flattened strips, forgings and others. The Company operates through two wholly owned subsidiaries. The Company distributes its products on the domestic market, as well as in Belarus, France, Turkey, the United States, Latvia, Germany, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belgium, among others. As of March 15, 2012, the Companys major shareholder was Mechel OAO with a stake of 88.37%.
